Product Description
The Agfa Neonatal Imaging Package brings fast, reliable, low-dose X-ray imaging directly to the NICU, built around the lightweight Dura-line™ XD+10 detector and an NX laptop running MUSICA® image processing software. Designed for imaging on the move during NICU rounds, it lets clinicians make critical diagnostic decisions at the incubator side without disrupting fragile patients.

The first 28 days of life are the most critical period for a newborn, and timely, accurate imaging plays a vital role in patient safety. The package is built around three pillars: convenience, speed, and reliability — combining a lightweight wireless detector, fast wired/wireless image cycle times, and MUSICA-powered dose management and catheter visualization to support confident, first-time-right diagnosis in the NICU.

Key features

  • Lightweight, wireless Dura-line™ XD+10 detector paired with a portable NX laptop and Wi-Fi
  • Overall X-ray cycle time reduced to 4 seconds
  • Single image supports diagnosis of pathologies, catheter/PICC line positions and multiple functionalities
  • Fewer retakes and reduced excessive dosage
  • Dose monitoring reassures parents and clinicians of radiation safety
  • MUSICA® neonatal image processing can reduce patient dose by up to 60%
  • Patented fractional multiscale catheter processing for clearer catheter and tube-like structure visualization

MUSICA® image processing benefits
Neonatal Image Processing: Dose management and dose reduction with active noise suppression; reduces patient dose by up to 60% while delivering sharp, consistent images
Catheter Processing: Patented fractional multiscale processing produces a separate image without a retake, with improved visualization of catheters and tube-like structures
Dose Monitoring: Visualized via a bar graph on the examination screen, indicating how far the applied dose is from the reference dose intended for that exposure

Clinical benefits
Workflow: Faster image acquisition and diagnosis during regular NICU visits by the consulting physician
Patient monitoring: Easier monitoring of patients with fast-deteriorating medical conditions
Safety: Fewer retakes and dose monitoring to reassure parents and patients of radiation safety
