Product Description
The Agfa DR 400 is a complete, scalable Direct Radiography (DR) solution that brings affordable, customizable digital radiography within reach of community hospitals and private radiology practices. Built around solid, best-of-breed hardware, it lets you choose your own digital path at your own pace — from basic analog to fully digital — while delivering higher throughput, lower cost per examination and excellent image quality.

The floor-mounted system comprises a radiographic table with an integral floor guide rail and a wallstand, requiring minimal room preparation and just 12 x 6 feet (4 x 2 m) of space. Complemented by a choice of generators, tubes and detectors, this compact in-room solution needs only a single operator with minimal training, making it highly cost-effective for facilities joining the drive to go digital.

Technical Specification
Generator
Power range: 40 kW to 80 kW — higher powers enable imaging of heavier patients with shorter exposure times for sharper images
Exposure control: Automatic Exposure Controls (AEC) for faster switching and highly accurate exposures

Tube
Options: Choice of tubes at different levels of generator power and heat capacity
Column: Compact, floor mounted tube column for low cost installation, with effortless column motion for complicated views
Display: 10-inch multifunctional tubehead display showing radiographic parameters, SID, tube angulation and image preview
Controls: Practical and easy to manipulate tubehead controls

Collimator
Options: Manual and automatic versions available for all budgets
Automatic feature: Automatic cassette size sensor in the rotating bucky controls the automatic collimator and speeds up workflow

Table
Design: Robust and user friendly for both operator and patient
Safety: Double touch foot switches support safe operation
Function: Choice of elevating or non-elevating function
Patient weight capacity: Up to 400 kg
Bucky tray: Horizontal movement aids patient positioning
Accessories: Lateral cassette holders and compression belts attach easily to the tabletop

Wallstand
Movement: Counter-balanced with optional tilting function for smooth, effortless movement
Detector height: Lowest detector height enables all standing knee exams

Detectors
Options: Choice of fixed built-in or wireless/tethered DR detectors
Range: Dura-line XD 10/14/17, Dura-line XD+ 10/14/17, Dura-line XF+ 10/14/17
Technology: Needle detector technology for lower image noise and the smallest pixel size available for a full-size detector

Image processing
Software: MUSICA® intelligent image processing, body-part independent, with excellent contrast detail
Next generation: Third-generation MUSICA® with Fractional Multiscale Processing renders exceptional bone and soft tissue detail simultaneously, supporting lower dose imaging
SmartRotate: Optional; uses a Deep Neural Net to identify image content and present it correctly rotated, reducing manual post-processing and improving PACS comparison with priors — part of the SmartXR® portfolio

Connectivity
Integration: Unified user interface for both DR and CR images, eliminating time-consuming training
Systems: Connects with RIS/HIS/PACS and imagers
Output: Choice of soft copy or hard copy outputs

Installation footprint
Room size: 12 x 6 feet (4 x 2 m)
Operation: Requires only a single person with minimal training
